Whitelabel App for Health Insurance Companies

DEVELOPMENT OF A MOBILE INTEGRATION PLATFORM AS WHITELABEL APP FOR HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES

MY ROLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER, DEVELOPMENT OF THE IOS APP

An app should be developed for multiple health insurance companies, from which more than 20 million insured in the statutory health insurance (GKV) benefit, with various demands in design and functionality.

To achieve this goal, a white-label solution was used. The app consists of various modules, which can be individually adjusted for each insurance company. Both the design and the functionality can be configured by simple config files. This allows for flexible use for various customer wishes.

The app is a customer portal, in which services of the health insurance companies can be used. Examples of these services are the completion of various applications and forms, changes to contact, address or bank data, application for a new health card, and much more.

Mobile Customer Portal

MY ROLE: SOFTWARE ENGENEER, BUG FIXING

With approximately 120,000 apartments, our client is one of the largest housing providers in North Rhine-Westphalia, ensuring that nearly 300,000 people between Aachen and Ahlen find a home.

Our client considers high customer satisfaction as a driver of success. To ensure this high level of customer satisfaction, our client serves as a competent contact and advisor for all inquiries, both on-site and through an online customer portal.

The responsive customer portal provides tenants with the opportunity to access various tenant services online, enabling them to handle different rental matters easily with just a few clicks.

The available online tenant services include:

• Management of customer data,
• Overview of existing contracts,
• Reporting of damages,
• Overview of payment accounts and utility costs,
• Communication via a mailbox,
• Various templates and certificates,
• Property search,
• Various tips and tricks,
• A section with benefits for tenants, and
• The tenant magazine "Bei uns" (With Us).

Mobile Retter App

MY ROLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER, IOS DEVELOPMENT

Every second counts in the event of a cardiac arrest. Specially trained first responders, the "Mobile Rescuers," who are in close proximity to the emergency, are continuously located through the GPS component of their smartphones and, upon the choice of calling 112, are automatically informed parallel to the rescue service by the Mobile Rescuers app through the control center. Mobile Rescuers can often be faster than the rescue service at the scene of an emergency due to their proximity, and can initiate qualified life-saving measures in the time before their arrival, which are often decisive in the first minutes. Costly nursing cases are reduced, and the chances of survival are increased.

The old alarm system could no longer keep up with the increasing number of deployments and mobile rescuers. For this reason, a new alarm system was designed and implemented, which offers significant improvements in performance and scalability. In addition, the requirements of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) were particularly taken into account during the design. The adesso SE carried out a redevelopment of the overall system and a new implementation of the backend. On the part of adesso mobile solutions GmbH, the native mobile applications for Android and iOS were developed in close cooperation with the adesso SE.

Service App for a Health Insurance Company

MY ROLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER

As part of the development and implementation of its digitalization strategy, our customer wants to offer their own customers and interested parties a central point of entry into its comprehensive and constantly growing range of services. At the same time, the mobile communication channel 'smartphone' should be further expanded and used to meet future requirements for data protection and data security (topic: two-factor authentication).
In addition to the implementation of the mobile solution, this project also focuses on the introduction of modern infrastructure components (cloud technologies, IaaS/ PaaS/SaaS, ...) and the introduction of new development processes (SCRUM). In addition to the implementation of the apps and some backend components, we also support with consulting.

Project Description:

Development of the official app for our customer. The customer wants to offer their own customers and interested parties a central point of entry into its comprehensive and constantly growing range of services through the new app as part of the development and implementation of its digitalization strategy. The app offers a variety of news and services, supports quick and direct contact and enables policyholders to use other digital services such as applying for an electronic health card (including picture upload). The modern security architecture of the app will be able to meet the requirements of two-factor authentication across multiple digital services of the customer in the future.
